Timebombs — CHAPTER TWO

The release of Timebombs appears to have set off a few timebombs of its own.

CHAPTER 2 – It’s Mom’s Fault!

by Uncle Alan

NOTE: If you’re just getting started reading Time Bombs — you might want to go the the Time Bombs Category where you’ll find EVERY WORD of the book and related materials and discussions, from the Introduction through the end (when it’s written and online).

Looking through my life, sitting staring in bewilderment at that computer screen, I could see the time bombs that had been planted. Suddenly, they were visible and they were all ticking, creating a path to where I was that day, with more than one blowing up around me and no idea what to do about it.

The first one was probably planted by my mom. Parents are like that, aren’t they?

Amazon Kindle Spam: Many Hurt By Avalanche

amazon_kindle-300x300

Here’s a perfect example of the “Internet Marketing” biz-op mentality taking its toll as it makes things worse for everyone.

I love Amazon’s Kindle. You can debate all day the differences between Amazon’s technology and Barnes & Noble’s Nook. The bottom line is that Amazon’s Kindle holds by far the largest market share of the two. And Amazon’s online self-publishing system, now tied their Kindle, is what I truly love. It makes it easy for any author of any book to upload their work and make it available to the huge audience of Kindle owners at no cost.

Amazon pays you a commission for every copy it sells for you, at the price you set.

It’s a game-changer, when it comes to independent publishing. . . . → Read More: Amazon Kindle Spam: Many Hurt By Avalanche

CHAPTER ONE — Cold Hard Reality

by Uncle Alan

It was a bright, cold January Kansas day, the kind that made me eager to dash to the warmth of my office, in spite of the short distance from my car to the door. I’d lived in in Topeka all my life, but my tolerance for piercing cold Midwest winters had reached an all-time low for me.

Usually, I’d just duck my head to block the wind and quickly sprint the short distance. That day, I had to count to three … twice … before I was able to make myself pull on the door handle, finally allowing the wind to whip the cozy warmth surrounding me in the car away from me and into the . . . → Read More: Time Bombs — CHAPTER ONE

Time Bombs — Taming The Triggers That Direct Your Destiny

by “Uncle” Alan R. Bechtold

INTRODUCTION

This is my first book since Will Work For Fun – 3 Simple Steps To Turning Any Hobby Or Interest Into Cash was released, in 2008. It’s been a long time coming, but I had to be in the “right place,” mentally, before I could start putting down the words.

The entire book is an experiment. I’ll be publishing each chapter, in sections, here on my  Information Publishing and Marketing Portal.

I’m going to be writing much of the book as you’re reading it … so you’ll actually get to watch it grow as it unfurls before you in the Portal. And — because it’s appearing on a blog . . . → Read More: “Time Bombs” — Introduction

Is Facebook Too Big To Beat?

– Social Media Agency White Paper Says Users Reluctant to Engage Within Multiple Networks –

by Uncle Alan

I’m pretty sure the world’s heard the term “too big to fail” far too much the past two or three years. Still, a white paper recently released by social media agency Punch Communications might indicate another “too big to fail” situation I hadn’t thought of before.

The free white paper provides some interesting reading for anyone entertaining the possibility of building any kind of specialized social network in the future.

According to the paper, the dominance of Facebook across the social media world is proof of the reluctance of many social networkers to subscribe to multiple networks. This has forced a lot of companies hoping to build . . . → Read More: Is Facebook Too Big To Beat?

LOGIC GAP

Media Court Missing Logic

By Uncle Alan

I think another Media Court case is long overdue, don’t you?

I’ve got one here that I’ve been sitting on during the holiday break. It’s time to bring it forward.

The email came from reknowned marketing expert Anik Singal.

Some time in late December of 2010, I received the following email from Anik Singal. Anik’s a sharp marketer. He’s responsible for developing some of the most powerful affiliate marketing training on the planet and he’s been hugely successful.

I know the guy personally and like him.

Naturally, I opened up the e-mail. It read:

Hey Alan, I have got some exciting news! About an year ago, Ritoban C approached me with this Amazing strategy he calls “Profit Instruments.” http://www.hypertracker.com/go/affclassmaghsm/ProfitInst/ I . . . → Read More: LOGIC GAP

Private Label RENTAL: The Verdict

Private-Label-Rentalcaseclosed

First, I’d like to apologize for the extended recess on this case. I intentionally let the case remain open longer than usual because I knew the product in question isn’t being actively promoted at the level of current “big launch” products. As a result, I also knew it might take more time to get people who had been exposed to the offer to find this case and respond.

Apparently, I was right. Most of the jury feedback came in several days following posting of this case and an additional nudge to all my lists as a reminder from me.

Then, my office got hit with a computer failure that set everything back more than a week, moving and restoring files and getting the stuff we . . . → Read More: Private Label RENTAL: The Verdict

Wikki Wonka and the Treason Factory

WikkiWonka

by Uncle Alan

A lot of people have asked me what I think about the whole WikiLeaks flap. You know – the Website that’s pouring out sensitive government information left and right.

Since I’ve pretty much made online publishing my life and WikiLeaks is a very loud example of stretching the limits of freedom of the press, it stands to reason I might have an opinion.

First, the patriot in me wonders how what WikiLeaks is doing is any different than what any foreign spy would be found guilty of treason for doing. The one major difference is that WikiLeaks is releasing sensitive secret information to the entire world – not just tattling to a single enemy willing to pay the most money.

Media Court Case #MC112610

by Uncle “Judge” Alan

This case involves the licensing terms for a private label rights membership that’s been online and operating for a number of years now. The “offender” in question is well known by anyone following the Internet marketing industry, precisely because he’s an aggressive marketer with an interesting history that turns out to be quite a success story.

I’m almost certain I’ve never met Cody Moya – but I certainly do recognize a much-younger-than-he-is-today photo he uses on his Websites, reminding me of the movie “Eraserhead” every time I see it.

I've never met Cody personally, but I hear he's a very tall very affable guy.

From what I understand, Cody had to overcome some major challenges to . . . → Read More: Private Label Rental?

“Target Perfect” — The Verdict

Target Perfectus Verdict

Let’s bring this court to order. It’s time to hear my verdict in Media Court case MC110510, Target Perfect.

As you might remember, the current case we’re examining involves the sales Website for Your Ultimate Side Income! The result of a recent collaboration between popular Internet marketers Erik Stafford and Ross Goldberg, Your Ultimate Side Income is a step-by-step plan to easily and quickly launch a lot of Websites, knowing little or nothing about how to do it before you start, and get them each pulling in sales automatically. Even though each site might typically pull in a relatively small amount of revenue, it’s automatic revenue, so it keeps coming in. You just focus on building them until you have all the revenue you want.
